Branding, Book Covers and Second Chances at Love

If you swing by here now and then, you’ll know that I’ve been hard at work trying to finalize Retribution. I have a cover, which I think reflects the storyline nicely. I have a release date and not enough time to do any advance marketing, but what’s new?

So here’s my cover and for those of you interested in branding and such, this is one way to do it. Notice how it goes nicely with the cover for Distraction? My covers are done compliments of Courtney Vail. That girl gives good advice and knows her stuff!

Last time, I did a tour for Distraction, but this time, I’ll do things a little differently, so here goes.

1.    For those of you who read Distraction and enjoyed it, I’d like to offer early e-copies of Retribution in exchange for your thoughts on the book, be it by blog post and/or any of your review sites of choice. Drop me an email at jlcampbellbooktour @ gmail. com (join the address) or leave me a note in the comments here. If not, I’ll most likely come looking for you.

2.    I’ll also be doing a blog hop featuring Retribution. It’ll be focused on Love… the Second Time Around and I’ll be looking for your most innerestin’ stories (whether fact or fiction) about people who find love on the second go round.

There is no restriction in terms of genre. There will be voting and prizes for the best fact and fiction entry (read $10.00 Amazon Gift Card.) So if you wanna try your hand at romance or have an intriguing story to relate, get all the deets here and sign up to participate.

          Book Blurb - Retribution
JUSTINE CHARLES is still trying to put the pieces of her life together seven years after a disastrous extra-marital affair. She’s raising a troubled teenage daughter and six-year-old Emile, the result of her indiscretion.
A chance meeting drops the still-scorching Xavier McKellop back on her radar. Her former lover is hurt and furious that Justine has kept his son’s birth a secret. She has little choice when Xavier demands time with Emile.
Though the moments between Justine and Xavier are tense, it’s evident the flame of attraction between them still burns hot. And just as she begins to hope and dream about being with the only man who ever stirred her heart, body and soul, Justine’s life is thrown into chaos. Her daughter discovers Justine’s betrayal and Xavier’s soon-to-be ex-wife wants him back.
This time around, in her quest for love, Justine might not only lose her deepest desire, but everything she holds dear.
I’d appreciate your help with spreading the word, so do hit one of the share buttons before you go.

Thanks!

I like the consistency in the book cover designs. I think it's a good marketing strategy.

I love your cover brand! Your designer has a great eye. Let me know when it's coming out, and I'll blog about it. Plus the other outlets.

Thanks, Carol. I've been thinking that it's good that she steers me away from my way out ideas and that I take her advice all the time. :)
