IWSG News!

Wednesday, April 5, 2017

Today is another IWSG post day and boy do we have news for you! On the first Wednesday of each month, writers everywhere share their insecurities and give encouragement to others. Our co-hosts today are Christopher D. Votey, Madeline Mora-Summonte, Fundy Blue, and Chrys Fey!

April Question: Have you taken advantage of the annual A to Z Challenge in terms of marketing, networking, publicity for your book? What were the results?

For me, not really, but I have had the benefit of exposure through other writers who have featured books as their A-Z Challenge theme.

The IWSG book club has decided on its first read, and you have until the end of May to read it. If you haven't joined the IWSG Goodreads Book Club as yet, do so now!

In May, the 2017 IWSG anthology will be released - Hero Lost: The Mysteries of Death and Life. Twelve fantasy stories featuring a lost hero will be on sale for your reading pleasure. Don't forget to follow the Lost Hero blog here

On July 27, the IWSG Twitter Pitch - #IWSGPit will take place. The list of agents and publishers is growing, so don't miss this opportunity to pitch your work to industry movers and shakers.

Here's hoping you have no insecurities today, but if you do, what are they?

  1. I always have some insecurities about everything. Someone once told me those feelings of being not good enough, stem from a desire to succeed. Well, then my desire is set to high! Enjoy your A to Z adventure.

  2. LOL I have to second Lee's comment. At least I know I'm not alone.
I joined the Goodreads group but forgot to check and see what the first book is! Heading off to do that now.
    Good luck with A-Z!

  4. LOL! Maybe we should design a T-shirt with a Desire to Succeed logo :) I'd buy one and wear it with pride. Hope all is well, Joy. Have a lovely April.

  5. Lots of stuff going on for the IWSG! I'd love to take part in the Twitter pitch but I don't think my novel will be ready by then.

  9. A to Z is time consuming but fun. I don't know that it would increase sales that fast. But you do get to meet other bloggers which is good.

  12. Joy! I was certain I commented on your IWSG post, but maybe I'm losing my mind. *shrugs* It's buried in too many book worlds. Okay, I'm late, but I came.

Definitely lots of exciting things to come with IWSG!
