It's IWSG post day again! Where does the time go. On the first Wednesday of each month writers everywhere share their insecurities and release them while offering encouragement to others who may need it. This month, Captain Alex's able assistants are Joylene
Nowell Butler, Jen Chandler, Mary Aalgaard, Lisa Buie Collard, Tamara Narayan, Tyrean
Martinson, and Christine
Rains!
This month's question is - What is your favorite aspect of being a writer?
For me, it is the freedom to pull from my imagination and the the happenings around me and craft stories that touch other people. The connections I've made are special to me as so many folks would have still been strangers to me had I not taken up writing.
Please share what makes writing one of your favourite things.
For those people who enjoy paranormal romances, I have just the thing for you! Today the expanded version of Phantasm is available free. Download your copy now as the price tag will be back in force at 12:01 tonight. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7WXR63 Enjoy!

The connections writers make are precious and like you say, writing opens up the opportunity to make lots of new friends and acquaintances. Thank you very much for your generous offer!! Have a super November.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy November too, Nicola. Love the connections I've made!
DeleteI got my copy and gave it a shout out on Facebook. Great cover!
ReplyDeleteFunny how these questions reveal that we're all so very much alike.
Thanks, Elizabeth. Much appreciated.
DeleteIt's true that meeting such a variety of people has been one of my greatest rewards as a writer.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on that book, and I'm with Elizabeth. The cover's great.
Thanks, Lee!
DeleteThat's my reason as well - all the connections we make on this journey.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's an awesome benefit.
DeleteBut this dead man fresh! Go back to the other side and let your surviving wifey live her life! Out of order. Anyway I'm definitely interested in your free boy Joy after reading the blurb. I hope Mario can save her.
ReplyDeleteHope you got it, Sheena!
DeleteConnections and feelings, yup.
ReplyDeleteI think back to when I first heard of Alex and IWSG. LOL. I can't remember how I found him. It's been that long. Everything about blogging and writing is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your book! If I really had to pick a favorite thing about writing it would be that moment where a plot finally comes together, and the story becomes something truly meaningful. There's definitely magic in that.

Making and then keeping those connections is vital.
ReplyDeleteOoo, I do love paranormal romance!
For me, the best part is also the connections!
ReplyDeleteAfter all, I met you on this writing journey...and I'm so blessed to call you a friend!
Great cover. You are such a prolific writer! I'm glad things are going so well for your writing. I agree that one of the big rewards of being a writer is connecting with other writers and readers and lovers of books. Another reward is the satisfaction of creating characters and stories and watching them come alive. I don't know about you, but after I complete a book, the characters are with me for life.
ReplyDeleteJen, thanks so much. The connections are awesome. Thanks for your kind words.
