If you’d like to join us, got to the Insecure Writer's Group page and sign up. Everyone is encouraged to visit at least a dozen new blogs and leave a comment. Your words might be the encouragement someone needs. If nothing else, drop by the IWSG page for a roll-out of exciting new features.

Today, Captain Alex's capable hosts are Today's co-hosts are  Yolanda Renee, Tyrean Martinson, Madeline Mora-Summonte , LK Hill, Rachna Chhabria, and JA Scott!

We have a new feature this month where a question is asked to jumpstart our thinking. So …

What's the best thing someone has ever said about your writing?

With my reviews, I notice a recurring theme. People often remark that they are part of my characters' experience in that they feel as if they are on location. Since I write from the island of Jamaica, I take that as a compliment. It's a good thing when someone can open the pages and dive right in alongside the characters.

  8. I think of you often down there in Jamaica, one of the sweetest places on the planet. I've only been there once, so hearing your stories about your country brings all my memories alive. Thanks, Joy.

  9. My best comment is when I published The Vanished Knight. My friend sent me a message along the lines of: You b*tch! It's the night before my final exam and your book had me up reading until it was done.

The message was sent at 3am and she was studying to be a doctor.
