IWSG Anthology: Parallels & Valentine Pets & Kisses

Wednesday, February 3, 2016

It's IWSG post day again and February already. Today, writers air their insecurities and encourage each other. Look to the left, you'll see a shiny new badge. Make sure you grab it!

The Insecure Writer's Support Group was started by Captain Alex and today, he will be ably assisted on his rounds by
Allison Gammons, Tamara Narayan, Eva E. Solar, Rachel Pattison, and Ann V. Friend.

Be sure to visit a few bloggers who are new to you while making your rounds.

Here are my thoughts for today.

If you follow the opinions of others, you'll never make a move or get anything done.
Everyone has an opinion, but it doesn't have to be the rule of law in your life or mine.
Do your thing without apology. Chances are, the same people who decry what you're doing now will be the same ones coming around to clap you on the back at a whiff of success or they may choose to be silent.

  1. Hi,
I like your thoughts. They are so true, but you have to go through some things to finally come to such conclusions.
    Shalom,
    Patricia

  5. The ones who say we can't are the same ones who end up saying they always knew we could do it. Ironic, isn't it?

  6. Sometimes we get so stuck on other people's opinions but the only opinion that matters is our own.

  9. I love those quotes!! It's exactly what I needed to hear this month - I'm currently trying to branch out into something new, but I'm so scared of failing. But like you said, I should just do my own thing without any apology :).

  11. Much too often I see people accept another person's opinion as fact. While we can certainly pay attention to other people's ideas, we should allow ourselves to form our own ideas as well.
