Tell Me Who's Your Hero?

Sunday, November 2, 2014

Today's the day! Thanks so much for participating.

Share with us that special person, whether real of fictional Who's Your Hero! Michelle Wallace and I will be around to see who qualifies as your hero of choice. Hop around and see who others have selected.

Michelle will have the job of deciding the winners in the various categories.

It is said, that our friends are supposed to be able to tell us what we can do and not what we can't. Many of us struggle with confidence and self-esteem issues and need other people to help us climb those mountains we wouldn't willingly take on by ourselves.

This year, my hero is my friend Jacqueline McNaughton. Six years ago she entered my life and has made such a difference. This woman is confidante, friend and sister to me. She is encouraging, kind, patient and never lets me get away with being stubborn, acting petulant or silly.

Jackie never lets me quit at anything, but along with encouragement, provides support and elbow grease when it matters. She sees way more in me than I do in myself and gets me to do things I believe are impossible to achieve when I make the first step toward doing them.

Not all of us are gifted with friends who are willing to tell us when we are wrong, no matter the cost. This woman does so, even when I'm not willing to listen.

She tackles challenges with a positive spirit, giving thanks when things go wrong and is generous to a fault. Without reservation, I can say she is one of the most inspiring persons I've met in my lifetime and I'm proud to say she's my hero! Who's Your Hero? The linky's still open if you care to share.

Today, my Island Adventure Romance tour wraps up with me being a minor celebrity. Yes, I have the honour of being featured in three places at once! Stop in with Captain Alex, C. Lee McKenzie and Michelle Wallace — rock stars of the blogosphere! I'm sharing information about romance and writing a series.

With a friend like Jacqueline in your corner, watching out for you...you can't go wrong. A real blessing.
Minor celeb status...three places at once...and why not? May I have your autograph, please? On a serious note, you've really done well with the 10+ (isn't that about right?) books you've written and published.
A toast to your success, Joy!
