How would you handle your disappointment?

Congrats to all of you who finished the Challenge. My zest is waning too, but I had fun drawing these pictures. I’ll miss that bit of relaxation in the evenings.

  1. That would be a bit of disappointment wouldn't it? I think maybe I would suggest doing something nice at home them. Maybe ordering in and watching a nice movie?

    1. That would be a good compromise, I think. Something to let the lady know he cares.

  2. Keep drawing! They don't have to be connected to a challenge, do they? I love the drawings.

    1. Hilary, it feels good to get to the end of the Challenge. Dunno why I can't get all the posts done before, even though I decide months out what I'll be doing. Yup, I can still draw.

  5. This guy isn't listening to her or doesn't care. Wow. That would be a smack in the face. Someone who wants your best celebrates your successes and helps you through the disappointments and hurdles that life offers. The fact that he can't step outside himself for ONE evening to celebrate this big step in her life makes him pretty sorry as a boyfriend or husband. Sadly, I suspect that this behavior is in keeping with the rest. And if that is the case she is in a one-sided relationship. Those never work well. If they are not yet married, I would be rethinking the entire relationship....

    1. Yeah, his attitude isn't too right. I guess she could give him the option of resting for a bit and then getting ready to go out.

  6. Been there, done that. Hubby is given a 10 minute nap, and then we're out the door. I do the same for him in reverse scenarios, so it's only fair, right? ;)

  7. I think things need to be planned. It should have been decided they were going somewhere long before the event so that both parties could account for appropriate energy levels at the end of the day.

  8. I'm wondering how much zest I have after this gruelling challenge...?
Congrats on reaching the A to Z finish line, Joy!
And I love your drawings! You should incorporate them into your posts every now and then... they're delightful!

  12. Michelle, it feels like there's gonna be a public holiday tomorrow. :) I don't think I've visited Facebook and Pinterest and all those other places much since the Challenge started.

  13. Thanks, Lee. It was fun learning how to draw cartoons. Got a long way to go, but I'm having fun learning.

Congrats to you too, Chrys. Girls' night out. Yeah!!!

It was a pleasure having you, Melanie.

    1. Thanks for dropping in, Elizabeth.
Hopefully, the hubby wouldn't be disturbed while the party was in session.

  15. Hit him hard on the shoulder and say "Excuse me?". He can rest tomorrow, I'm not missing an outing I have been looking forward to for weeks. (In fact) He could have rested yesterday. Congrats on making it through the challenge Joy!

  16. I think he would be a downer on the evening, so let him snooze and go out and party!

  17. Thanks, Sheena. Happy to get more time to do all the other stuff that's been neglected.

Nick, wonderful to see you out and about. The guy would probably kill the party spirit anyway. So yeah, if I had company I'd leave him at home.
