As to what to say: "My goodness, Darlin', I'd rather be thought immodest, and thereby open and transparent, than a buttoned-up repressed person like you! Fold down that high collar, Honey, and let the air in."
I thought she responded rather well. Immodest is one of the kindest ways of putting it that I can think of off the top of my head. The fact that Ms. Thang considered that an Insult...
If she wanted to really start something, I suppose she could have said, "That wasn't a name. Slut is a name."
One does get the idea that "Immodest" was really the nicest name she could think to call her. Though I would argue that not calling her any names at all would be even better.

There's another name for women like her. I'd refrain from saying it though.

I love the expression on her face when she says "Ms. Thang"! You can almost see the neck roll. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, that was not a name! Loved the post.
ReplyDeleteMs Thang is being assertive. Good for her. New follower.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by from the A-Z list to say Hi :)
ReplyDeleteLove your theme by the way and good luck with the rest of the challenge x
I like Sharon's answer above.
ReplyDeleteI think you shouldn't even respond to those kinds of comments... it annoys the commenter even more when you ignore it...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, everybody! I'll be out and about later. For those I haven't visited yet, I'll see you then.
ReplyDeleteGave me a laugh since I used the same word for my flash fiction for the letter I.
