Gullible Gina
What would you do with a friend like this?

  2. I don't know if there's any hope for her if she's this gullible.

  3. I know that the purpose of these is story ideas. And the larger truth is that people believe what they want to believe. It is easier. She wants him to stop looking at other women and he says that the problem is her talking to some guy friend. She wants to believe that is true. The crisis will come when she cuts off that relationship and he persists with his behavior. Eventually, (we hope) that we take off the rose-colored glasses and see things as they actually are... and not the way we wish they were.

    1. Ah, so true Robin. I've seen people in situations that are clearly hurting them, but they go on clinging hoping for change that will never come.

  4. You two need to set yourselves straight. Talk to each other about how you feel when she takes that call or he stares at other women--neither high crimes.

To Her: There's room for a lot of people in your life, but if those calls mean more than friendship, tell the caller that's all you're interested in.

To Him: If you think you're getting some kind of revenge for an offense like a telephone call, you're not. You're only adding energy to a bad, unending fight.

    1. Lee,
I'd slap him on the side of the head each time he does it. I've seen this a few times and wonder each time why women feel they need to put up with this sort of behaviour. I'd kick him straight to the kerb for that kind of disrespect.

Thanks for weighing in on both POVs. That helps.

  5. I wouldn't jump in the middle. As a friend, I'd leave a couple to sort out their issues, unless asked for advice. I think too often we meddle when people need their own space to figure things out. *shrugs*

  6. It sounds like this relationship won't last too much longer. I'd let it take it's natural course. :-)

  7. I'm with Crystal on this – I wouldn't jump in the middle, because I probably and up getting battered from both sides of my head.

  8. This is what they are thinking.Gullible Gina 's perspective "He is so smart and dreamy... every girl wants him, I better tell John to quit calling"....Domineering male "If all women were this easy and gullible... life would be so easy..." Woman watching on the side ... "Should I tell her? He two timed me right and left do I tell her he is a ....." Very fun and clever, love your drawings... 9. Crystal, that's as good an approach as any for someone on the outside.

    Linda, true that.

Debi, thems the risk people who intervene in fights must take. :)

Thanks for coming by, MC. Sounds about right in terms of their perspectives.

  10. I'd like to tell her to leave that lothario, but she probably wouldn't listen anyway. She'd still stand by her man, and resent me for being honest. It's a very tough, but interesting scenario. Great artwork too!

  11. Give her a good shake, take her to a clinic to test for STDs...something. She's my friend...and that guy's an ass.

  12. I don't think these two are meant to be together.

  13. You know the word Gullible isn't in the dictionary, right?

Don't be shy, I'd love to hear what you think.
