The Escalation Tour & Some Humor

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

Please welcome Stephen Tremp who's visiting on tour and bringing a touch of humor with him. Take it away, Stephen.

Today I thought I would do something a bit different. I’ll post a few pearls of wisdom, some laced with humor, from amazing people who had to overcome amazing obstacles in order to leave a legacy behind. These are great quotes to share with our youth of today, who will become our leaders of tomorrow. They need vision. And they need to know some of the best leaders had anything but a normal childhood or life.

“Touch a scientist, and you touch a child.” - Ray Bradbury

“Faith is taking that first step when you don’t see the first staircase.” - Martin Luther King

“Your theory is crazy, but it’s not crazy enough to be true.” - Niels Bohr

Finally, “I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed” - Booker T. Washington

Stephen Tremp is the author of the Breakthrough series. Together, Breakthrough, Opening, and Escalation follow the lives of the unlikely participants from innocence to a coming of age through sacrifice, betrayal, passion, lust, unconditional love, and hope. Escalation will appeal to fans of modern-day science fiction, action, horror, and even romance.

And now for some stand up comic. Who said nerds can’t be funny (snort) .....
'A Virus Walks Into a Bar...' and Other Science Jokes - Brian Malow

Got a chuckle from any of these quotes? Have any words for Stephen. This reminds me that I have to get my Wormhole post done. Are you taking part in that week-long blogfest?
