Where would I go after booking my trip with Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc.

Egypt, of course. I’d book a visit back to the time of the great Pharaoh’s. I’d be sure to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx in all their glory. I’d see firsthand the methods that went building those wonders that are recognized worldwide. I’d also want to experience the ancient art of mummification being performed (not on me, of course, but fascinating stuff, yes?). And of course, I’d want to take a trip down the Nile.

If you could book a trip back in time, where would you end up?

Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc. will be launched in all its glory on November 12, 2013. Stay tuned for that…Now to get familiar with the author of Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc

  3. Oh yeah, down the Nile in ancient Egypt?? Would be fantastic! Except for those crocodiles. Eeep!

Great choice, Joy!! Thanks so much for participating!

  4. Congratulations on your cover reveal. Very nice!!! And the premise is intriguing... or maybe I am just a sucker for a time travel book;)

  5. And if you discover aliens built the pyramids, would you believe it?
    Awesome cover, PK!

  6. Awesome choice. I thought about Egypt too, but I think the whole slave aspect would turn my stomach. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Russia at the height of its glory.

  7. Egypt is a great choice! Who knows maybe you were Cleopatra in another life :)

  8. I've been fascinated by Ancient Egypt since I was a kid. There's just something about the gods, mummies, and the Pyramids that captivates me. My own trip isn't as exciting.

  9. I was with you until the whole mummification thing. Happy you clarified. :-)

  10. Tina, there's much to be said for Egypt. :)

PK, I didn't think about the crocs while I was writing this. Guess I'd need something sturdier than a makeshift raft.

    Thanks for dropping in, Robin.

    I don't think so, Alex!

Crystal, I forgot about the slavery part too. Not too cool, that. :(

Siv, who knows. Maybe I can find inspiration for a novel. Cleopatra is fascinating.

So true, Chrys. Maybe it's the fact that the culture is way different, plus all the movies that romanticize life in ancient Egypt.

Sydney, yeah that whole chisel and spoon business up the nose can be a little off-putting. :D

  11. Egypt! Now there's an interesting choice. Yes--you could check out how those pyramids were constructed. :) Great question for a bloghop! Congrats to PK on her cover reveal and imminent release!

    PK's cover is ab fab!

  13. What a great destination! Egypt would indeed be both an educational and fantastic travel destination.

  14. Egypt seems like a great idea! How *did* they build those things... I swear....

Not sure about the Nile, but, hmmm, for sure it would have been cleaner, so why not :)

  15. Congratulations PK! Egypt does sound like a great idea and it also sounds like you and Michelle had similar ideas. Proof that great minds think alike! (:

  16. This sounds like such a fun book! Love the cover, too :)

  17. Hi, Carol. It's amazing what people did years gone by with little or no advanced too.

    True, Michelle. I've visited.

Marilyn, that's true. So much to learn about ancient culture.

Mark, yeah, I wonder too. I know a lot of slave labour went into buildings, but it would be fascinating to know. I should do some research.

Thanks, Elise. I'm in good company. :)

  18. P.K. - Cool cover and storyline! Best wishes on your release!

Joy - Just have to say that (since I'm behind on everything) I read Christine's Odyssey a few days ago and it was truly fantastic. Can't wait to read Saving Sam!

  19. Imagine the book you could write when you got back! There are a whole lot of mysteries needing solved in those Egyptian sands!

  20. I'm a huge Egyptology fan so I'd do the same thing Joy! Yah Man! I still love this cover PK.

  22. Hi, Rula,
Thanks for visiting. Pk's cover theme does say clearly what's to be expected in the book. Glad you enjoyed Christine's story.

  23. True, Elizabeth, I know I'd unearth all sorts of stuff too.

    Maurice, you go!

Joylene, yes, I haven't quite come across another storyline like this.

  24. I would love to visit ancient Egypt just after the pyramids were built. Of course, I'm sure only the slaves they buried in there would be let in to see the treasures. Remind me to pack bottled water and bug repellant, lol.

  25. I can certainly see you on that barge, Joy.... Have fun!!!

    CONGRATS PK!!!

  26. Hey, Donna, didn't even think about the creepiness factor. Probably thousands of bodies in there.

Michael, as long as there's shade and cold drinks, oh yeah, and bug spray, a trip down the Nile sounds like just the thing.

    Thanks for dropping in, Rachel.
