IWSG Site Launch & Partners in ParanormYA Blitz

Wednesday, October 2, 2013

Today is a big day in the blogging world, so I'm breaking out the wine and cheese…
Apart from it being a tour day for the Partners in ParanormYA, it's launch day for the Insecure Writers Support Group website. Alex Cavanaugh has been an inspiring and tireless source of support for us all.

His dream of building on the IWSG, started two years ago, is now realized in this shiny, new site, which will not only be a community base, but an information hub for writers looking for help on the journey. I'm humbled to be serving as part of the admin team along with Alex, Michelle Wallace, Joylene Nowell Butler Susan Gourley/Kelley, L. Diane Wolfe and Lynda Young, Hop over to the IWSG site and join the gang. When you're done, drop in and say howdy on Facebook.

For today's IWSG post, Alex's co-hosts are Julie Luek, Rachna Chabria, Beverly Fox, and Ilima Todd. Visit the other group members here.

As for my writing insecurities, I've shelved them—kinda-sorta—in honour of the festivities.

Drumroll please…it's time for the ParanormYA Blitz Tour Post

Welcome to KPIP – I love Badger

Welcome to KPIP, the radio station where Paranormal is Powerful. For today’s episode of Words and Worlds, we have the ladies of Partners in ParanormYA. I’m your host, DJ Mister Ree.

Mister Ree: Now ladies, I gotta say, I love the PIP and PIP thing we got. You digging it?
Gwen: Uh…
Angela: Sure.
Mister Ree: Yeah! So you’re here to discuss your latest releases, A Guilty Ghost Surprised and They All Fall Down, and it looks like we already have a caller on line. Caller, what’s your question?
Female caller:  Hi! I’m Tamela from South Carolina and I just wanted to say, um, well, really that I loved Givin’ Up the Ghost.
Gwen *blushes*: Thank you.
Tamela: And…I really loved Badger. Simon was such a cutie and that Cappy was a trip but I loved Badger and his accent. I could hear his voice in my head. My boyfriend thought I was nuts. Ha ha ha! I love Badger!
Mister Ree: So…is there a question in there?
Tamela: No. I just love Badger. Okay. Bye, now.
*Gwen and Angela glance at each other then stare at the DJ, eyebrows raised in confusion.*
Mister Ree *clears his throat*: That was one heck of a call folks. Yeah! Good times. For you folks at home, make sure to get in on the giveaway and check out more about A Guilty Ghost Surprised and They all Fall Down.
