Long-Distance Train Ride

We no longer have train service in Jamaica, but it seemed to me that when we did, it eased the congestion on the transportation system. A train ride wasn't part of my daily routine when the service was provided because I didn't live on the route they travelled. However, I did get the opportunity to visit the train station on a few occasions and found the bustling crowd and different noises fascinating.

I did take a train ride once (long ago) when my class went on a retreat at a convent in the countryside. I remember it being a slow fun-filled ride that led to an even better retreat. Haven’t been on a train since, but it’s something I think would be good way to relax if I’m not on the way to work.

Book Blurb - Hardware

Camille Moyston has managed to put the nightmare of a violent attack behind her. Having forged a safe, predictable life, the last thing she needs is a cliché, oversexed Jamaican male expressing interest.

For Quinn Mayhew, life is too good to waste time chasing a haughty, irritable woman who is too cautious to accept him for the man he is, but somehow she symbolizes everything he desires in his future.

When Camille's inner fortress finally starts to crumble, Quinn is arrested for murder and everything changes...

  6. I've been on several trail rides. But the most memorable was right before Christmas, from New York City's Grand Central Station to a little town in northwest Connecticut.

  12. I rode a train one time when I was like 9 or 10. And never again until I lived in New York. Amtrak trains come through San Antonio, but I've never ridden one.

  14. I haven't ridden on many honest to goodness trains. Light rail and commuter trains mostly. My other train experience has always been in the summer. I'd like to take one of those Autumn train excursions that go through areas where the leaves are colorful. Trains are cool.

  15. Nice memories there. We're lucky to have quite a few preserved steam train lines in the UK. Me and my dad both have a thing for trains, so it's the sort of thing we do when the whole family gets together for a holiday.
