Today, Alex J. Cavanaugh
is taking the ’net by storm with the cover reveal for CassaStorm. I think it’s a good representation of the
book’s name and storyline. Read the blurb and book details below…
A storm gathers across the galaxy…
Byron thought he’d put the days of battle
behind him. Commanding the Cassan base on Tgren, his only struggles are
occasional rogue pirate raids and endless government bureaucracies. As a
galaxy-wide war encroaches upon the desert planet, Byron’s ideal life is
threatened and he’s caught between the Tgrens and the Cassans.
After enemy ships attack the desert planet,
Byron discovers another battle within his own family. The declaration of war
between all ten races triggers nightmares in his son, shaking Bassan to the
core and threatening to destroy the boy’s mind.
Meanwhile the ancient alien ship is
transmitting a code that might signal the end of all life in the galaxy. And
the mysterious probe that almost destroyed Tgren twenty years ago could be on
its way back. As his world begins to crumble, Byron suspects a connection. The
storm is about to break, and Byron is caught in the middle…

On the Healthy Writers Front, I haven’t
exercised but once this week. Did I hear you say ‘bad writer’? I’m aiming to
improve my performance this coming week. The sooner I realize that my schedule
won’t slacken by much, and get down to doing what I should, the better it will
be for my exercise-deprived body.
I’ve completed what feels like the 500th
edit on my YA novel Christine’s Odyssey. I’ve
moved on to editing the second book in that series, but only too soon, I’ll be
turning my eyes on the 501st go round with Christine.
Can’t remember who said we shouldn’t get
stuck on editing and just get the darn book out. I wish I’d get a life and do
just that. Anyway, everything in its time and all that.
Hope you’re making waves on your projects and that
you have a lovely weekend. Any thoughts on Alex's cover?
Congrats to Alex! That cover is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've just finished reading Cassastar and I enjoyed it... need to post a review now.
No comment with regards to exercise... I'm just as guilty!
Just do it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping me with the cover reveal.
Great cover. And it is so hard sometimes to get that butt out of the chair. Some days I just feel like I have so much to do! I always know I feel better when I do, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you on the exercise. I only managed it once this week...but it's better than I did the week before.
ReplyDeleteBaby steps :)
CassaStorm is burning up the blogoverse! It's on my site today, too.
ReplyDeleteYour one exercise this week blows my zero away, so you're still doing good on the healthy writer's front. I was going to exercise, I really was....
I think the cover is cool! Congrats, Alex!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been any better about excercise, Joy. I lost my treadmill in a flood. I guess you could say a lot of cleaning up is good excercise lol, but not the kind that releases stress.
From my own experience I can say that some books take more rounds of editing than others. Listen to the little voice in your head, and you'll know when it's enough.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
Stopped by from The Healthy Writers Club. I'm sorry you're not exercising.
ReplyDeleteA big congrats to Alex and his fabulous cover!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Alex! I've been saying that a lot. LOL! Good luck on your 501st edit. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Alex! You exercised one more time than I did. So good for you. And best of luck with Christine's Odyssey.
ReplyDeleteLove Alex's cover!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the edits!
It's been great seeing all the support for Alex. One workout is still an achievement!
ReplyDeleteYay for Alex's release. I do love that cover. And great that you're doggedly keeping on that revision stuff--it gets wearing after a while. But I know how you feel...you don't want to put it out with errors in it!
ReplyDeleteYay for Alex.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to exercise everyday, but if I get to do it every other day that's okay for me.
Sometimes it's hard to let go of manuscripts. I get stuck editing, too.
Congratulations to Alex! The cover is super!
ReplyDeleteHi JL!
Alex is everywhere these days!!
ReplyDeleteI only exercised two days last week, so I'm right there with you! I'm determined to make this week a far more productive one.
For one which isn't any surprise, both SBA 504 and the 7a are costly when compared with conventional loans nie.im they would prefer to take a better interest given that they want to use their cash elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteCool cover! BTW, just 10 minutes of light exercise a day can help you feel better! Take a walk on your lunch break or close the curtains and indulge in the Just Dance games. I do! (As long as NOBODY can see my uncoordinated moves!) ~Angela
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela. Part of my problem is that if I can't get in at least a half hour, I don't think its exercise.
DeleteI say many thanks to the father of the website admin I read this, because at this website I know a lot of information information that I did not know before his
