Subject: Freedom: Day Laughs, Night Cries Virtual Book Tour

Monday, November 19, 2012

I'm pleased to welcome Peaches D. Ledwidge on her book tour. She's been a supportive buddy and I'm wishing her all that's good for the tour and the sale of her book.

Day Laughs, Night Cries: Fifteen is a true mother-daughter story.  It’s about a shattering event that happens between a mother and her daughter (Peaches) in a dark room.  The event threatens to destroy the mother-daughter relationship.

As the relationship between the mother and Peaches deteriorates, Peaches has many longings or desires. She desires freedom and a new family, among others.

In many parts of the world, the US, Jamaica, Africa, India, Thailand, and Afghanistan, for example, some children or adults desire freedom too. The desire for freedom is not always to escape from one’s family; sometimes people carry a deep desire to escape from religious, political, or cultural constraints.

Day Laughs, Night Cries: Fifteen reminds us about some of the things that bond us as a family even when we desire escape from things that cause us grief.

I am the daughter, Peaches.  To learn more about Day Laughs, Night Cries: Fifteen, watch the trailer.  You can also join the virtual book tour and leave a comment. Your name will be entered into a raffle and if picked, you will be eligible for one of the giveaways listed on my Blog or the flyer. Please ensure that you can be reached.

Joy, thanks for hosting day 2 of my virtual book tour. To the readers, thanks for reading or commenting . You can learn more about me and how I got married by reading my profile on Amazon (Kindle)  where you’ll also find the book blurb. You can find me on Twitter too or my Facebook page  or my Blog. Thanks again and best wishes to everyone.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Julie. I thought about "highlighting" it now as it's newly published rather than waiting until I run out of energy.

  4. I can definitely understand the desire of freedom from religious constraints. I live in a very uptight area of the world, and am tired of having "end of the world" discussions with people (yes this does happen) who think that the world is ending in December. I just shake my head.

    1. Michael, I'm still trying to find a church-home in Pennsylvania. Maybe we should omit the "end of world" date. That would probably make things easier.

But... go to church. Message coming from someone who used to go to church a lot and struggling to do so again.

  5. Mother/Daughter relationships are so important. It's sad when things get between that. Sounds like a wonderful story that needs to be told.

    1. Mothers, even the "strict" ones, are so important. We should not forget that.

    1. Indeed. I had to get over the pain before releasing it to the public. That's what writing does.

    1. Linda, sometimes when you look back on what you've written, do you ever wonder where your words came from. Or do you ever say, "Did I write that?"
