Today I’m doing a poll on short stories to get some added perspectives. Please fill in the poll below if you have a moment. You can make more than one choice. Thanks!
Thanks guys for taking the time to post. Most likely I'll do a post on why I did this poll. The results are showing again that reading is such a subjective thing. Thanks again.
Thanks for the shout out. I took like an ending that's left to the reader's imagination, but of course, some stories don't let themselves to that kind of ending. Thanks for voting.
I chose to work out the ending myself- but it does depend on how the story is written. The quality of the writing is the most important thing, to me. Probably!
Stopping by after the A-Z challenge to say hello... and to let you know I find your blog fascinating. I just downloaded both of your ebooks, thank you! Looking forward to enjoying the stories, especially "Don't get mad..." since I love Jamaica. I've been there a couple of times: lovely people, beautiful island. I like the "Irie Mon" feeling :-))
I voted, and was happy to note 71% folks agree with me :)
ReplyDeleteI voted for a nicely wrapped up conclusion. ...don't leave me hanging. :)
ReplyDeleteShort stories are hard! But you do them well. I've enjoyed your short story collection. I got to remember to review it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get the result you were looking for.
ReplyDeleteMaking the rounds after the A to Z Challenge to say hello! I think survey posts are always fun.

ReplyDeleteI voted. I enjoy short stories. I need to read them more often.
ReplyDeleteYa know, I don't enjoy them so much, but seem to do well at writing them. Go figure.
DeleteI haven't read your stories, as yet... but I voted for the "cliffhanger" ending...
ReplyDeleteCheck out my A to Z Reflections post. I've given you a shout out!

Hey, Michelle,
DeleteThanks for the shout out. I took like an ending that's left to the reader's imagination, but of course, some stories don't let themselves to that kind of ending. Thanks for voting.
I don't mind if different people could interpret the story in different ways but I do like to feel that it has a proper ending.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you there, Patsy. If isn't wrapped up well, the story can feel incomplete.
DeleteI voted and found out that I had voted in the majority!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your input, Nas.
DeleteI voted!

ReplyDeleteThat's important to me too, Lily. Thanks for stopping in.

Hi, Doris,
DeleteThanks so much for stopping in. I hope you enjoy the stories.
Make sure you come back to Jamaica at some point!
Seems I'm with the current majority on this one. Interesting to see that two of the options are fairly close in voters' favours right now.
ReplyDeleteYes, the votes are running nearly half and half. Thanks for weighing in.
