If I Could be Anyone, I'd be...

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

Congrats to Talli on the launch of Watching Willow Watts. To help Talli celebrate, I’m taking part in her 'If I Could Be Anyone, I'd Be...' party! Her MC, Willow, takes on Marilyn Munroe’s identity in a video and comes close to losing her own. So now it’s my turn.

Who would I be, if I could be anyone?

I’d be the woman who has been dubbed the Queen of Rock and Roll. A woman who was part of a dynamic musical duo and emerged from spousal abuse to launch her own successful career.   Anybody remember Let’s Stay Together and Private Dancer and the super cool post-apocalyptic movie Mad Max Beyond Thunder Dome?

Apart from being one strong and determined female, my shero is also super hot for a mature woman. When I grow up, I wanna be just like Tina Turner!

Tina Turner - Over 71 and still looking fab!
Super Hot Tina Turner

Can you blame me for wanting to be the one cozying up to David Bowie in this video? Voice, style attitude...but I'm getting carried away. Love, love, love me some David Bowie. Can you tell? I'd loan him to Willow, but the father/daughter age difference would be kind of yucky.

To get back on point...congrats again, Talli! Here's wishing you out-of-this-world success with Watching Willow Watts.

  24. I was a big Tina fan back in the eighties, as well as a fan of David Bowie. Haven't kept up with either of them that much in the last several years, but I haven't kept up with too many things. Great music memories with both of them.
